Bigger State School Classes Will Make Life More Difficult For Children
Some 620,000 children in the UK attend private schools, but that number is almost certainly going to drop over the next three months as the government adds VAT of 20% to the school fees. A recent survey of 2,000 affluent parents (in September) by the financial planners Saltus, found that around 13% of those children – more than 80,000 – would have to leave their schools and return to the state sector.

Obviously, this is going to mean bigger classes in state schools and is going to put even more pressure on teachers. It is just going to get more difficult for them to spend time with individual children who are having challenges with maths, English, and science, as many of them do. (Most of us can probably remember having problems understanding some of those subjects). In turn, it means that those children will have even less chance of passing their exams when the time comes.
This is why so many parents are choosing to get extra professional tuition for their child with us at Smart Kids Private Tutoring. Our tutoring services in Oldham allow your child to work one-on-one with their own tutor after school hours so that they can catch up and overcome the problems that they are facing.
Most Of Us Hated Maths!
Let’s be honest, when we were kids the majority of us hated maths, because it is a subject that we found so complicated. It is no different for our children today. They have difficulty with algebra, geometry, statistics, number theory, calculus, differential equations, and more. And again, being honest, most parents would have difficulty trying to help their children work through these subjects because while we may have once learned them, we no longer use a lot of them.
Our tutoring services in Oldham can help your child get to grips with whatever he or she is having trouble with. We start by taking your child through easy questions and progressing to more demanding ones every week. We cross-examine them with in-depth questions and then provide them with the explanations that they need so that they begin to see the light.
Your child may also forget certain aspects, and so we will go back to them as often as is necessary until they finally grasp it and can move forward with confidence. We also use mock GCSE exam papers so that the tutor can spot where the child is making a mistake. That enables us to go over it again. At the end of the day, your child will be able to sit the real exams knowing that he or she can tackle whatever questions are asked.
