From KS1 to GCSE we cover all the sticky icky topics such as calculations, algebraic fractions problem solving, algebraic proofs, graphical inequalities, frequency tables & statistics, the list can go on. Unless they’re very good with it , let’s be honest most kids hate maths, but we know practice makes it easy. Our aim is to take your child from easy to challenging questions, for each topic every week. We also use visual aids such as revision posters, formulae sheets; cross examine the student with in-depth questions and explanations. Even if your child forgets how to work through a topic, we will consistently revisit it until they’ve broken it down and mastered it. The tutor will mark every question making sure your child passes with minimum 85% pass mark which is assessed by an end of topic test . After working through hundreds of topics and thousands of questions we will further take your child through GCSE Mock Exam Papers every week, these papers can also be given to the tutor so that they can see where the child is missing out on those crucial marks and work with them to perfect their working out methods and jump across to the next grade boundary. This thorough preparation is complete converting your child’s energies into success.

Curiosity and critical thinking, the need to hunt for certainty is the name of the science game . Science is based on knowledge and creative alternative thinking, a zest to understand the natural world and gain unimaginable insights into how things operate in everyday life. The aim for your child to grasp concepts, the tutor will spend lots of personal attention through consistently asking lots of questions to push your child’s understanding. We will systematically progress your child’s knowledge in greater depth covering each topic with a test ensuring a pass mark of 85% or above before moving onto the next. Mastery and accuracy of knowledge is key to being a confident scientist. Most kids struggle with science when their maths lets them down particularly formulae calculations in chemistry and physics . To reduce guess work and error we provide students with a guide sheet, increasing the use of equation triangles. This will create a surge of boost in confidence when students are able to figure it out independently and apply with accuracy achieving full marks. Furthermore, students are routinely tested on their memory of science terminology using mnemonics, repetition of key terms and constant practice of labelling diagrams. We also use visuals and a variety of resources to help bring science to life.

Mock GCSE & SATs & A level Exam Papers

We want your child to be the cool kid on hot summer exam days who knows how to walk in, deliver and get out with results with a big smile on his/her face. Your child will breeze through the real exam- no tension and no worry. We don’t just stop at providing your child hundreds of hours of additional work practice. We want to make sure the job gets done with a polished finish. Therefore, for all students in key years such at year 6 (SATs) Year 11 (GCSEs and year 13 (‘ A’ levels) students will practice Mock Exam papers under exam conditions every single week. If your child has sat even 20 practice papers and improved by 1.5% on each paper that’s an improvement of 30% over the 20 papers. This is a score that can move up from a grade E to an A . 

Every week all students arrive on time, sit exams under exam conditions and timings. When the time finishes, they spend a further 30 minutes to mark the paper with a pupil friendly mark scheme and score themselves. Each self-marked question will need to analysed by the student and the correct model answer drawn/ written against it .
